# Support

Support for BEPpoker starts with a local support request and redacted diagnostics. Send support requests to pzuggler@gmail.com.

Support is not guaranteed.

## Before Requesting Help

Collect the basic release details:

- BEPpoker version
- Windows version
- installer filename
- installer checksum when the problem is installation-related
- whether the issue repeats after restarting the app
- whether the issue appeared after importing files, restoring a database, changing settings, or installing a new build

## Diagnostics

Open Import > Database Maintenance and choose Copy Redacted Diagnostics. Review the copied text before sharing it.

Redacted diagnostics are the default support path. They omit the visible PokerStars player name, raw hand-history text, full tournament-summary file contents, and full local filesystem paths.

Do not share full diagnostics unless pzuggler asks for them and the copied text has been reviewed. Full diagnostics can include local paths and the configured PokerStars player name.

## Support Request Form

Use [docs/support-request.md](docs/support-request.md) when preparing a support request. Include screenshots for visual issues. Do not include raw hand-history files or tournament-summary files unless they are specifically requested and have been reviewed.

## Local Data Safety

Before testing fixes that affect imported data, create a database backup from Import > Database Maintenance. Export a database copy when a support session needs a reproducible local snapshot.
